ONE HUNDRED NOT OUT!

LLANDINAM VILLAGE HALL
The Village Hall was first opened in 1912 to benefit the community and we will be celebrating this unique building and its history in the year to come.

Llandinam's most famous son was the renowned industrialist David Davies, whose statue can be seen by the bridge in the village, and the wealth he amassed enabled considerable philanthropic work by his descendants. The Village Hall is one of the best examples of this.

His son Edward built a hall for the village, but after his death it was followed in 1912 by one in the latests Arts & Crafts style, donated by his son David, which has been in constant use ever since.

The hall will be celebrating its centenary year with a programme of events as well as some long-awaited renovation work supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Cadw, the Community Council and the Gwendolin and Margaret Davies Charity, as well as significant amounts of fundraising carried out by the Village Hall Trustees and the many volunteers that take part.
